Gipper Raises $8.6M Series A to Help Amateur Sports Organizations Create Content Like the Pros

Today, the company announced it raised an $8.6M Series A round led by Telescope Partners, whose portfolio includes the likes of Brandfolder (acquired by SmartSheet), HotelEngine, and Topbox (acquired by Khoros). This round will accelerate Gipper's efforts to level the playing field for amateur sports organizations, helping them create social media content like pro teams. 

During his time on the soccer team at Colgate University, Gipper Founder & CEO, Matthew Glick, recognized the opportunity for amateur sports organizations to use social media to promote their programs but also witnessed the lack of time and design resources available to such programs. Gipper empowers athletic administrators to leverage social media to highlight their athletes, engage their fans, and strengthen their communities, by making professional-quality graphics creation simple and easy for the non-designer.
