Mark Holbrook, Athletic Director at Tecumseh High School in New Carlisle, OH unveils a brand-new addition to their athletics legacy display ahead of the 2025 school year — a digital hall of fame made with Gipper Touch

Learn why Mark was ready to modernize beyond his recognition wall, and how the digital solution helps him showcase more.

The challenge: Limited space and engagement

Tecumseh Athletics had long celebrated its athletes with a traditional wall display showcasing hall of fame inductees, scholar-athletes, and award winners.

But with 94 hall of fame inductees dating back to 1995 and 24 current high school athletic programs, Mark quickly started running out of room. His physical hall of fame space limitations made it difficult to highlight every honoree or maintain historical records in a consistent, engaging way.

The athletic department wanted a modern display that could preserve the school's athletic history while being easily accessible to students, families, and visitors.

The solution: An interactive digital hall of fame

Mark led the initiative to implement an interactive digital touchscreen hall of fame display. The new system allows users to explore photos, bios, and achievements of every hall of fame inductee through an intuitive touch interface built with Gipper Touch.

Mark was able to expand the display beyond hall of fame inductees to also highlight:

  • Scholar-athletes

  • Special award winners

  • Scholarship recipients

Mark even plans to go beyond athletics and showcase MACY award winners, giving well-deserved recognition to musical theater students.

Visitors can browse by name, sport, or award category. A companion web version ensures the district’s athletic history is also accessible from home or mobile devices — so the Tecumseh community can view the experience from anywhere.

The results: A solution that showcases more

Tecumseh's new interactive touchscreen has become a centerpiece of their athletics facilities.

  • Enhanced visibility: Every inductee and award recipient is now showcased, regardless of space constraints.
  • Easy access: Students and community members can explore the district’s athletic history anytime, on campus or online.
  • History preservation: Historical records are digitized, ensuring they’re secure and easily updated for future generations.
  • More engaging viewing: Visitors can search award-winners, view photos, and read bios.

"It’s great to have all this information stored digitally. Instead of just seeing plaques or displays once, students and visitors can now come back and look through it anytime."
